Dharamsala: President Dr Lobsang Sangay of Central Tibetan Administration graced the Thank you Himachal Pradesh event alongside honourable Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Acharya Dev Vrat, former Chief Minister of Shimla, Shri Virbhadra Singh and Minister of Irrigation and Public Health at Shimla yesterday. The President arrived in Shimla for a two-day visit on Sunday afternoon.

Post his participation at the Thank you event, CTA President headed to Jonang Takten Phuntsok Choeling Buddhist Monastery. He was received at the main library of the Monastery where he interacted with the monks and supervisors.

President then visited Central School for Tibetans, Shimla, where he was greeted by Principal, staff and students. During his brief interaction with the students, President Dr Sangay encouraged them to pursue academic excellence with purpose.

He advised them to pursue success in their academic and professional path, while keeping intact one’s root and identity as a Tibetan.

President concluded his tour at the Dorje Drak Monastery. He will return to Dharamsala on 18 October.
