Paris: Thupten Tsering, the Coordinator of Bureau du Tibet, Paris, attended the 23rd Tibet Festival organised in Amiens by Aides et Espoir pour le Monde Tibetain (AEMT), a Tibet support group, led by President Yolande Caumont.
A total of 30 foreigners and 20 Tibetans were present at the gathering. The Tibet support group had worked for the Tibetan movement for 25 years. Mainly, under the organisation’s leadership, the Tibetan national flag was hoisted at a church near the District Commissioner’s office for one month starting from 10 March for more than 20 years.
On the occasion of Tibet festival, apart from the screening of a movie called Tibet’s Freedom, Tibetan handicrafts were placed for sale. After the movie screening, the audience members were briefed on the situation inside Tibet and the local government was thanked for its assistance and its support was sought in the future as well.
