Bhandara Norgyelling Tibetan Settlement Celebrates President Biden Signing Resolve Tibet Act 2024 into Law

Maharashtra: On 12 July 2024, the Bhandara Norgyelling Tibetan Settlement community gathered to celebrate President Joe Biden’s signing of the Resolve Tibet Act 2024 into US law.

During the celebratory event, the presence of diverse attendees, including leaders of non-governmental organisations, Geshes from the Sera Jey Ling, Nyingma Monasteries, the Khenpo of the respective monastery, and school students and their teachers, added a prosperous and inclusive dimension to the occasion.

The morning of the celebration coincided with Lhakar day, during which community members collectively presented white scarves before the portrait of His Holiness and conducted traditional rituals such as ‘Sangsol’.

Concurrently, the vice president of the community association and the Tibetan settlement officer formally inaugurated the celebration with the offering of mandalas, followed by an introduction of the event and an address to the public.
