24 October 2020, Nagpur: Samta Sainik Dal, an organization that has preserved the ideals of Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, through different platforms and mechanism has seen many able marshals who have spent their lives for such cause. In recollecting those names, Marshal Adv. Vimalsurya Chimankar’s name is addressed with a distinguished profile for what he has exemplified through his life-giving away all the comfort for keeping the ideals of Dr. B. Ambedkar intact and flourishing. Whereas his contribution is unparallel and comprehensive yet he met with the death on 29 September 2020 at the age of 65 years old – leaving behind a huge vacuum to fill with.
Towards this end, the Central Office of Samta Sainik Dal, Nagpur organized a modest homage meeting, keeping in mind the local standard operating procedures in this existent pandemic situation, at Dr. Babasaheb Community Hall, BANAE, Uruwale at 4 pm.
Aadaranjali was attended by more than 200 members from 15 different regions of Maharashtra and even from far states including fully dressed in the uniform of Saink of SSD. The event was organized under the Chairman of marshal Adv. Sunil Shariputta where Ven. Bhadant Nagarjuna Shurei Sasai, former Member of Minority Commission, Government of India, was the Chief Guest. Prof. Jogendra Kawade Sir, Ex-MLA; Sh. Upendra Shinde, Ex-MLA; Prof. Ranjeet Meshram, PWS College and Reporter Lokmat Times; Prof. Vimaltai Thorat, National Dalit Human Rights Campaign, Delhi; Prof. N.V. Doke, Institute of Science, Nagpur; Marshal Adv. Prakash Darshnik; Sh. E. Narenwar, Poet and Scholar are some of the eminent personalities who shared their perception and association with late Adv. Chimankar.
Addressing the event, Ven. Bhadant Shurei Sasai pointed out the need to undertake more effective measures for voicing against the injustices prevailing at different fronts be it at the border or at the domestic levels.
He praised the work and sacrifices laid out by late marshal Adv. Vimalsurya Chimankar not only for the preservation and amplification of Ambedkar thoughts but also for the cause of the Tibetan movement.
Coordinator ITCO lamented upon the support of Samta Sainik Dal towards the dissemination of the Tibetan struggle against Chinese injustices. He particularly mentioned his personal association with late Adv.Chimankar – his thrive for the upliftment of Tibetan people’s movement and solidarity amongst Buddhist communities.
All of those who were invited on the dais shared their recollections of memories, regards and admiration for late marshal Adv. Vimalsurya Chimankar.
The event that was supposed to begin at 4 pm got delayed by two hours as sadly, and again, Samta Sainik Dal lost its one of the active youth Marshal Rahul Wasnik who passed away on 23 October 2020 at the age of 36.
The participants at the event expressed condolence for both these departed souls.
