Taiwan: Representative Bawa Kelsang Gyaltsen led staff of Taiwan’s Office of Tibet welcomed the visit of Zeekyab Rinpoche, Abbot of Tashi Lhunpo monastery, on Friday, 4 November.
Representative Gyaltsen apprised Rinpoche of the office activities, including the religious tasks they perform via the Buddhist classes. Rinpoche and the Representative discussed varying subjects related to Taiwan’s religious and political situation, and the former bestowed them with a thangka portrait of the first Dalai Lama, Gyalwa Gedun Drupa.
This is Rinpoche’s third visit to Taiwan as he first visited the country in 2018 upon the request of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
