Bylakuppe – Tibetans of Lugsung Samdupling Tibetan Settlement in collaboration with Thikchok Namdroling monastery, Sera Jey and Sera Mey monasteries, Bylakuppe held a prayer ceremony to commemorate the Tibetan Festival Choekhor Dhuchen or Festival of Turning Wheel of Dharma on 4 August 2019 at Lugsam Nyamdrel Community Hall.

240 Geshe’s from Thikchok Namdroling, Sera Jey and  Sera Mey monasteries participated in the prayer service to honor the day when Buddha Shakyamuni first taught the four noble truths in Sarnath, India, and first turned the wheel of dharma. It is a day of pilgrimage when believers visit particularly holy spots to leave offerings of incense and prayer flags.
