The Department of Religion and Culture of CTA conducts selection interview for recipient candidates of the Tibetan Arts and Culture Fund 2019 (TACF).

Dharamshala: The Department of Religion and Culture of Central Tibetan Administration conducted interviews for the selection of candidates in Tibetan Arts and Culture Fund 2019 (TACF).

25 individual and organizations from various part of India and Nepal have applied in TACF and submitted a variety of project proposals such as research studies, making a documentary film, buying traditional costumes for practising cultural dance and exhibition of Tibetan painting etc for the aims of promoting distinct culture and arts of Tibet.

Among the applicants, 13 individual and organisation based in and around Dharamshala have attended interview today at Department of Religion and Culture and rest of the applicants who are not able to take in-person interview due to long distance will be taken video calling interview tomorrow.

The Tibetan Arts and Culture Fund (TACF) was initiated with the support from Tibet Self Resilience and Reliance (TSRR) in the year 2017 to strengthen Tibetan cultural resilience. This program provides support for professional and emerging artists to expand or improve their work and share their expertise. It is mainly aimed for individuals and organizations that are keeping alive centuries-old Tibetan traditions and contemporary art by practicing their arts broadening the audience for Tibetan art, culture and language. Small grants between Rs.50,000 to Rs.3,00,000 will be awarded to individuals and organizations whose project is based in India, Nepal and Bhutan.
