Kalon Phapga Tsering Labrang, Department of Security, CTA addressing over 150 Tibetan community members, students, staff and representatives of Tibetan NGOs in Darjeeling, 9 July 2019.

Darjeeling: Kalon Phagpa Tsering Labrang, Department of Security, CTA on Monday arrived in Darjeeling, West Bengal on the first leg of his official visit to the state.

Kalon was received by the Settlement Officer Migmar Dorjee at Bagdogra airport.

Over the course of his visit, Kalon visited various Tibetan monasteries including Kirti Monastery, Kagyu Monastery, Guru Sakya Monastery, Yigachoeling Monastery, and several others.

He also visited the Tibetan school where he addressed over 150 members of the school, students, the local Tibetan community and representatives of Tibetan organisations in Darjeeling.
