The incumbent Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok greets former Deputy Speaker Gonshar Dorjee Damdul at Tibetan Parliament.

Dharamshala: Former Deputy Speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Dorjee Damdul visited Tibetan Parliament earlier today. Gonshar Dorje Damdul served as Deputy Speaker of the 7th Assembly of Tibetan People’s Deputies (ATPD, presently called TPIE) from 1979 to 1982.

The incumbent Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok received the former Deputy Speaker at his office and interacted briefly. As a memento, Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok presented books published by the Tibetan Parliament to the former Deputy Speaker.

Mr Dorjee Damdul expressed deep appreciation towards the works of the Tibetan parliament during his meetings with the Deputy Speaker and members of the standing committee.
