Bir: As usual Tibetan in Bir area has observed the 60th Tibetan National Uprising Day began at Chauntra Mela ground. Tibetan Settlement of three Division Nangchen, Bir Tibetan Society, Dege Division, Bir Lily Village, Tashi Jongh Tibetan Settlement with the participation of Monasteries in Bir and Chauntra, TCV and Sambhota Tibetan Schools. Morning program had been commenced at 8 am revealing the Kashag and Chithue speech to the general public by Dolma Tsering TSO BTS and Chithue speech by Vice speaker of BTS and Hindi version been read by Speaker Dege Division.

The Chief Guest of the Day at Chauntra been kindly consented by Shri. Prakash Rana MLA from Joginder Nagar constituency accompanied by Shri. Dr. Dawan senior most Vice President of Indo Tibetan Friendship Association Bir/Chauntra had arrived right time at 9am. Settlement Officers of three Divisions, Representatives of Bir Lily village, Local Tibetan Assembly speakers TCV school Director, Principals of STSS have welcomed the guest offering him a traditional scarf and received him to the dais. Shri. Prakash Rana MLA is meeting Tibetan people first time since returned back from Arabian Country the last couple of years ago. He won the state Assembly election from the Joginder Nagar constituency in 2017 against Shri. Thakur Gulab Singh. Shri Prakash Rana is a billionaire having good business in an Arab country; he shares his 10% income to the general people of his village “Golwan”. In his speech, the Indian Government always stands with Tibet cause since history and will remain forever. People and government of India have strong feeling on Tibetan lost many innocent life during the Cultural Revolution 1959 followed by 153 people been sacrifice.

As his speech over, crowd have moved by Buses upto Baijnath railway crossing and followed through Baijnath Market to SDM office ground with banners.

Shri. Thakur Gulab Singh former Himachal Assembly speaker and Minister have kindly consented to preside over the program as Chief Guest. Shree. Dani Ram Secretary Indo Tibetan Friendship Association Bir/Chauntra as our guest of honor. Tibetan Settlement Officer Mr. Dhenmatsang Sonam Wangdu read the Kashag English statement to the gather followed by the speech of Chief Guest on the relation between the two nations from the history and martyr of 153 Tibetan People both inside and outside. Shree. Dani Ram spokes on pockets of the problem between two communities before which is now no more leaving together like brother and sister with friendly is the major development since that.
