The Office of Gadhen Phodrang is offering “The Dalai Lama Trust Scholarship” to 105 students for the year 2019, out of which 100 seats are for Undergraduate or for more than 3 years of Diploma Program and 5 seats for Post Graduate Program. Eligible candidates must apply online using the link below latest by May 31, 2019, for UG scholarship and August 31, 2019, for PG scholarship:

1) Any one of the following eligibility criterion must be met. (Fill up “Form-B”)
(a) Those who have consistently performed well in academics but couldn’t score well in exam.
(Recommendation from school required)
(b) Students who are responsible, sincere, honest and bearing good moral conduct.
(Recommendation from school required)
(c) Students who are orphan, semi-orphan or belonging to destitute family.
(Recommendation from Tibetan Settlement Office required)

2) Required documents to be uploaded:
2.1 Duly filled “Form-A” and “Form-B”
2.2 Class X Mark sheet
2.3 Applicants for Master’s program must be a recipient of the Dalai Lama Trust Scholarship during the Bachelor’s program and must submit three years of Bachelor’s mark sheets.
2.4 Best Boy/Girl Certificate if applicable.

3) Other important points:
3.1 Applicant & his/her parents must have a Green Book (GB) and the GB contribution must be paid till 2018. If parents are in Tibet/deceased/separated, the authenticity of such information must be mentioned in “Form-A” by the concerned Tibetan Settlement Officer.

3.2 Applicant must have a valid Registration Certificate (RC). Those from Nepal, Bhutan, Kalimpong, Darjeeling, and Gangtok must have a recommendation by the concerned Tibetan
Settlement Officer in “Form-A” stating that the applicant is a bonafide Tibetan refugee from their settlement.
3.3 For UG Scholarship, one must have taken the Tibetan Language till Class X or must clear “Tibetan Language Proficiency Test (TLPT) – 2019” to be conducted by the DOE at respective Tibetan Settlement Offices on June 10, 2019.
3.4 This scholarship doesn’t include Vocational courses.
