Dharamshala: The Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR), Central Tibetan Administration hosted its sixth annual reception for journalists at Club House today.

Sixty Indian and Tibetan journalists from leading news agencies including local bureau chiefs and reporters of Dainik Bhaskar, Amar Ujala, Times of India, Press Trust of India, News18, Divya Himachal, ANI, Hindustan Times and members of Tibetan media from Voice of Tibet, Radio Free Asia, Phayul and many others attended the reception.

President of Central Tibetan Administration and Kalon of Department of Information & International Relations, Dr Lobsang Sangay graced the event along with Secretary Sonam Norbu Dagpo and Additional Secretary, Tsewang Gyalpo Arya.

The reception for local media is an annual event organised by the Department to affirm closer interaction between Tibetan and Indian journalists, and particularly with the Central Tibetan Administration. It is also a recognition of the media’s immense contribution towards creating awareness in society.
