Shimla: Governor of Himachal Pradesh Hon Acharya Devvrat extended Losar greetings to Tibetans on the occasion of Losar, Tibetan New Year on 5 February. View the Governor’s greeting here.

Chief Representative of Shimla Tenzin Norbu and representatives of Tibetan monasteries called on Governor Acharya Devvrat at Raj Bhawan last week.

Governor Acharya Devvrat said, “I wish a happy and joyful new year to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Tibetans worldwide and hope that it will bring happiness, enthusiasm and joy in the life of everyone and we will go ahead in the direction of world peace”. Hon Devvrat also expressed his profound prayers for the long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

He further hoped that the brotherhood and mutual harmony between Tibetans and Indians would be strengthened, and said that the shared traditions, culture and civilizations were the same and this coordination gives the message of love to the whole world.
