BRUSSELS: Finance Kalon Karma Yeshi of the Central Tibetan Administration arrived in Belgium on5 March from Zurich and has been interacting with Tibetan Community members for the last two days.
This visit, having been undertaken primarily to enhance the Tibetan participation in the Green Book contribution, Mr Yeshi and his Assistant Kalsang Choedon and the Consular section of the Bureau du Tibet worked hard in the last two days to resolve any pending issues with regard to documentation relating to Green Book and also to facilitate speedy extension of Green Book etc. Yesterday, 32 cases were dealt and today another 20 odd instances were addressed.
Meanwhile, today morning Mr Yeshi addressed a group of Tibetan Community members at Nalanda Institute. Elaborating on the His Holiness’ major life-long commitments and also on the CTA’s work, he explained further the work of the Department of Finance.
Targeting the improvement of Tibetan participation in the Green Book, he said that he was traveling around the world in order to encourage Tibetan contribution. He replied to some of the questions the members of the audience had asked. He also requested the gathering to help promote the Blue Book.
The meeting was convened by the Tibetan Community in Belgium and the Community hosted lunch to the Minister after the meeting.
