CTA President Dr Lobsang Sangay and Conrad Sangma, new Chief Minister of Meghalaya.

Dharamsala: The President of the Central Tibetan Administration Dr Lobsang Sangay congratulated Conrad K Sangma who was sworn in as the 12th Chief Minister of Meghalaya yesterday.

Extending his “heartfelt congratulations”, Dr Sangay wished Conrad K Sangma “the very best as he takes over the office and expressed hope that he would through his dynamic leadership fulfill the aspirations of the people.”

“I also take this opportunity to thank the people and government of Meghalaya for hosting a sizeable community of Tibetans in its capital Shillong,” President Dr Sangay said.

Conrad Sangma is the youngest son of veteran Indian politician, P A Sangma, an eight-time MP from Meghalaya, a former speaker of the Lok Sabha and former chief minister of the state.
