Dharamsala: The President of Central Tibetan Administration Dr Lobsang Sangay reminded and urged the Tibetans in possession of Residential/Registration certifications (RC) to register their RC online as per the recent regulations streamlined by the Government of India.

Referring to the announcement of the changes informed through, Dr Sangay spoke of how this online registration of the RC would ease many of the dilemmas faced by the Tibetans such as having to return to their place of registration for the renewal of their RC.

Dr Sangay also highlighted the changes that enable Tibetans who wish to travel abroad to avail Return Visa with multi-entry up to a year and how registering their RC online would allow them to renew and apply for Exit Permit and Return Visas online.

Keeping in mind the predicaments of the Tibetan people in relation to the renewal of RC and applying for Exit Permit and Return Visa, CTA had made requests to the Indian government, which led to these changes.

Having informed of these changes through the CTA’s official website and through the Settlement Officers, Dr Sangay made a clarion call to Tibetans in possession of RC to register their RC online by the end of March 2018 as guided by the Government of India to avoid any future hassles.
