The career awareness talk in progress at MCleod Ganju, Dharamshala.

DHARAMSHALA: Counseling and Placement cell of Tibetan Career Centre (TCC), unit of Youth Empowerment Support (YES), Department of Home, initiated a 2-consecutive week program for freshly XIIth graduates from various Tibetan schools in India to create awareness about their career options and choices. The program also guided the participants for a right career decision making. The students were also given information about the various scholarship opportunities available in India and abroad, vocational training opportunities and etc.

TCC invited various college alumni from different region to interact with freshly XIIth graduates who received first-hand information regarding the college admission procedures, course structures, fees structures, college life, do’s and don’ts and the related information.

The final day of career awareness program was held at Tibetan welfare hall, Dharamsala settlement office as Mega Career Fair on Sunday 24th April, 2016. The event was comprised with career orientation talk, panel discussion among Tibetan professionals, and their informal interaction with the participants who are individually interested in their fields. The professionals invited for the panel discussions are; Dr. (Ms.) Tsering Yangkyi, Montoring & Evaluator at Tibet Fund, Mr. Tenzin Dalha, Researcher at Tibet Policy Institute, Ms. Tsetan Dolkar, Web-developer & Designer and Founder of Tibet I Tech, Mr. Tenzin Norbu, Fashion Designer and Founder of Sharlo Designs and Mr. Kalsang Gyatso, Professional in Library Science.

Total no of 56 fresh 12th graduates from different Tibetan school attended this career awareness program, 24 Tibetan Youths contributed for this informational event.
