DHARAMSHALA: His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to his exile residence in the northern Indian hill town of Dharamshala on Saturday, 3 October.

Hundreds of Tibetans, holding ceremonial Tibetan white scarves and incense sticks, lined the streets to give a warm welcome to the 80-year old Tibetan spiritual leader.

Kalons and officials of the Central Tibetan Administration and the heads of Tibetan non-governmental organisations received His Holiness at the airport.

Responding to reporters at the airport, His Holiness the Dalai Lama assured that he is in excellent health and there is no need to worry.

Doctors have advised complete rest for His Holiness after a medical check-up at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, US.
