His Holiness the Dalai Lama begins Visit to France

Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama has begun a 12-day visit to France by blessing a Buddhist institute outside Paris on Tuesday.
His Holiness offered prayers and greeted the town's mayor and representatives of other religions, at Ganden Ling institute, a Buddhist institute run by a Tibetan in Veneux Les Sablons.

While talking to reporters, His Holiness repeated his message of goodwill and success for the Olympic Games in Olympics.
"I fully support the Olympics in China... the People's Republic of China deserves to play host to the games," His Holiness the Dalai Lama said as he left the Yiga Tcheudzine temple.
"Right from the time of China's application to hold the Olympic games,I have supported China's right to host the Games. This is a moment of great pride to the 1.3 billion Chinese people. These Games should contribute to promoting the Olympic spirit of friendship,openness and peace," His Holiness said in his message to China on 6 August.
Later, His Holiness gave a talk on peace and non-violence at a Vietnamese pagoda being built in Evry, south of Paris.
"Whenever we face conflict, we have to use dialogue," His Holiness said.
His Holiness will meet French lawmakers on Wednesday.
His Holiness will devote major part of his schedule to a six-day teaching series, and a lecture, in Nantes in western France.
