Free medical camp from Taiwan in Dharamshala underway

"Since its inception, the association has organised three free medical camps in Mundgod Tibetan settlement and Sera Monastery in Bylakuppe and Zongsar monastery in Bir, Himachal Pradesh," said Dr Tommy Hsu, President of the Kuan-Yen association, while talking to TibetNet.

He said, "Many of patients referring here are suffering from ulcer, low blood pressure, arthiritis and asthma."
Laying emphasis on dietary habits, he said, curative system comes second to maintaining a healthy nutritional dietary system.

During the course of medical camp, the association is also providing workshops on traditional Chinese therapeutics to a team of doctors and medical students from Men Tsee Khang.
The team is also scheduled for an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama on 7 November.
