Long life prayer ceremony for His Holiness the Dalai Lama
Dharamsala 23 February: Led by His Eminence Kirti Rinpoche, Tibetans in exile offered longlife prayers to His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Main Temple, Dharamsala.
Hundreds of Tibetans and westerners, braving rain and hail assembled at the Main temple to get a glimpse of their leader whose illness had caused concern amongst them.
This was His Holiness the Dalai Lama's first public appearance since his sudden illness ascribed to exhaustion from prolonged tours, teachings, and other engagements.
