The Department of education is one of the most important departments of the Central Tibetan Administration. It is responsible for educating Tibetan refugee children in both traditional and modern forms of education.

Information updated on: 03/07/10The Department of Education/Tibetan Children’s Educational and Welfare Fund (TCEWF) has developed five years Educational Development Plan which also forms an integral part of the CTA’s five year INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PLAN-IV (2009–2014). The activities and projects included in the plan are mostly generated through the beneficiaries. Therefore, the projects included in the plan are not just wish list, but actually needed and would be implemented as soon as we receive funding support.
