MUNDGOD: The Chairman and Vice Chairman of the 10th Mundgod Doeguling Local Assembly were sworn in at a brief ceremony held at Mundgod Tibetan Settlement on 11 May.

The ceremony also witnessed the election of 30 members to the local assembly including the Chair and Vice-Chair.

Phuntsok Dolma, local Justice Commissioner (temporary) administered the oath to the newly elected Chairman, Geshe Namgyal Gyaltsen and Vice Chair Arya Tenzin Phuntsok.

In accordance to the 69th provision in the Tibetan Charter, the Chief Justice Commissioner of Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission had appointed Phuntsok Dolma, Secretary of the local Justice Commission as a temporary local Justice Commissioner.
