CONNECTICUT: Representative Ngodup Tsering and Chinese Liaison Officer, Kunga Tashi of Office of Tibet, Washington DC visited Tibetan community in Connecticut on 10 March.

Representative Ngodup Tsering fondly recalled his last visit to the state as Education Kalon of Central Tibetan Administration and the warm welcome accorded by the local Tibetan community.

He particularly lauded the service and dedication of the community towards the preservation of Tibetan language and culture and their sincere reverence towards His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Central Tibetan Administration.

Emphasising unity of Tibetan people, Representative Tsering reiterated His Holiness’ recent advice during the Monlam Chenmo teachings and the statement of President Dr Lobsang Sangay at the Tibetan National Uprising day event, in which he strongly condemned divisive activities in the society.

Speaking in the same vein, Representative stressed the unity of Tibetans as paramount to the success of Tibetan movement and urged the audience to uphold Tibetan unity and spirit.

His talk was followed by an interactive Q&A session with members of the audience on CTA’s Middle Way Policy, Tibetan language and culture, education, health and more.
