DHARAMSHALA: Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama granted a special audience to a group of elder Tibetans from Dharamshala, at his official residence on Wednesday.
His Holiness conveyed his blessings to the group and advised them to spend their remaining life in peace. “All of you have spent your entire life in service of Tibetan cause and people, and with firm devotion towards one’s religion. As in our Buddhist beliefs, the unique connection that you had with me in this life will continue and manifest in our future rebirths. So be at peace.”
His Holiness recalled an old Indian friend who had once expressed, to His Holiness, her wish to form a union of members over age of 95. “At the time, I was over 70 and I jokingly told her that I was little young to join the group. Now all of you probably belong to that group; please be at peace,” His Holiness said.
