DHARAMSHALA: The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile on Wednesday congratulated Geshe Dawa Dhargay, the new 34th Menri Trizin of Bon tradition.
In the congratulatory letter, the Tibetan parliament offered prayers for the long life of the 34th Menri Trizin and wished him success in carrying forward the benevolent and altruistic activities of the 33rd Kyabje Menri Trizin for the benefit of dharma and all sentient beings.
Geshe Dawa Dhargay was born in Sharkhog in northeastern Tibet’s Amdo province. He was appointed as the 34th Menri Trizin in an enthronement ceremony held at the Pal Shenten Menriling Monastery in Dolanji. The selection ceremony was attended by all senior spiritual leaders of Bon tradition including Kyabje Lopon Yangton Thinley Nyima Rinpoche, Khen Rinpoche Luntok Tenpa Yungdrung, monks and tulkus as well as lay dignitaries.
