Dharamshala: Tibet’s revered spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned on Friday from his week-long visit to Delhi, Bhubaneshwar and Kolkata.
His Holinesss was received by Officiating president, Kalon Karma Gelek Yuthok, Department of Religion and Culture, CTA, Geshe Monlam Tharchin representing standing committee of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Tibetan Settlement officer and representatives of various Tibetan organisations at the Dharamshala airport.
During his week-long tour, His Holiness met with Honourable Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, representatives of the Odisha government and delivered a series of talks in Delhi, Bhubaneshwar and Kolkata.
The Tibetan spiritual leader was also honoured with the 10th KISS Humanitarian award by the Kalinga Institute of Social Science, Bhubaneshwar.
His Holiness’ upcoming schedule includes a public talk in Mumbai and teachings in Mundgod, Bylakuppe, and Bodhgaya.
On 10 December, His Holiness will give a public talk on Reviving Indian Wisdom in Contemporary India at Somaiya Vidyavihar, Mumbai.
On 14 December, His Holiness will inaugurate the Drepung Loseling Meditation and Science Center in Bylakuppe, Karnataka, India.
His Holiness will confer a Hayagriva Initiation (tamding yangsang kawang) at Sera Je Monastery on 20 December.
The next day, he will inaugurate the new debating courtyard of Sera Mey Monastery followed by a teaching on Tsongkhapa’s In Praise of Dependent Origination (tendrel toepa).
