Dharamshala: Department of Information and International Relations of the Central Tibetan Administration is releasing a short documentary on DIIR personnel who attended two days intensive workshop on Social Media Journalism last week in New Delhi. Watch the documentary here. 

DIIR’s Tibet TV Journalist, Sakina Batt, who attended the workshop, documented a 6-minutes film on the DIIR participants of the workshop. The documentary addresses the importance of rules and guidelines of social media journalism.

In the documentary, the participants are seen using trending social media apps like Instagram, Whatsapp, etc. The participants speak about understanding the different tactics for a different medium and keeping track of analytical data for better social media communications.

The main highlights of the film are participants’ views on setting up content strategy for communications, and the need for core strategy and its follow-up secondary message for better engagement with target audience.

17 personnel attended the workshop conducted by a leading media house in Delhi. The participants also visited BBC World Service Ltd. on the invitation of Ms. Niraj Nirash and organised by ENVISION based in Delhi.
