JAMMU: Mr. Chhimey Rigzen, executive secretary, Central Tibetan Relief committee, paid a three day official visit to Jammu on 17 April to make a representation to the honorable Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir and Mr. Chewang Dorjay, the honorable minister for co-operative & Ladakh Affairs with regard to the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014. He was accompanied by Additional secretary, Department of Home and the Chief Representative of Sonamling Tibetan Settlement, Ladakh.
The delegation also met with Mr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo, the Chairman/ Chief Executive Councillor, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Mr. Prassana Ranaswamy, Deputy Commissioner, Leh Ladakh and Mr. R.K Goyal, Principal Secretary, Home.
During the meetings with the concerned minister and other officials of the state, the delegation raised issues concerning Tibetan refugees living in Ladakh and primarily on formulation of a state level Tibetan rehabilitation policy based on the Central Policy. In this connection, delegation submitted a letter addressed to the honorable CM through Minister Mr. Chewang Dorjay.
