Odisha: Kalon Karma Gelek Yuthok of Department of Religion & Culture, Central Tibetan Administration yesterday paid a visit in Odisha Phuntsok Ling Tibetan Settlement after attending the graduation ceremony of Rigon Thupten Mindroling Monastery on 26 March 2017 which was successfully completed with conferring the certificates to the graduated monks followed by cultural performances by students and public of Odisha Phuntsok Ling.

As per the program set by concerned Tibetan Settlement officer, Kalon visited Tibetan camps, two branch Sambhota Tibetans Schools and also old Tibetan people’s home.

Later in the afternoon, he was invited to a public meeting arranged by settlement officer. The meeting was attended by Speakers and deputy speaker of the Local Tibetan Assembly, President of Regional Tibetan Freedom Movement (RTFM), members Tibetan Corporative Society, camp leaders and head of the various Tibetan NGOs and general public.

In the meeting, Kalon spoke to them about his purpose of visit which was a part of Kashg’s program and also about present Khashg’s stand. The three hours long meeting concluded successfully after series of questions raised by general public on various issues.

Kalon will be visiting Bhandra Norgay Ling Tibetan Settlement tomorrow and continue his official tour to visit Mainpat Phende Ling Tibetan Settlement and Tibet house, Delhi.
