Dharamshala: Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok, Kalon for Department of Religion & Culture of Central Tibetan Administration left for Nalanda this morning to attend the International Conference on the theme of ‘Buddhism in the 21st Century’. The conference will be inaugurated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Dr Mahesh Sharma, Union Minster of State, Ministry of Culture, Government of India is the guest of honor.

The aims of the Conference is to deliberate a Buddhist perspective and evolve collective intellectual effort to address the unprecedented challenges to peace, harmony and environmental breakdown on a planetary scale.

The three day conference is organised by Ministry of Culture, Government of India at Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, Nalanda from 17 to 19 March 2017.
