Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay, Education Kalon Ngodup Tsering with Shri Prakash Javadekar, Minister for Human Resource Development, Government of India at Shastri Bhawan on 7 November 2016.

DHARAMSHALA: Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay along with Education Kalon Mr Ngodup Tsering met Shri Prakash Javadekar, Minister for Human Resource Development, Government of India at Shastri Bhawan on 7 November 2016.

During the meeting, Sikyong urged the HRD minister to expedite the transfer of the remaining 14 schools under Central Tibetan Schools Administration (CTSA) by apprising urgency of the situation. He also briefed the Minister about the overall improvement in the previously transferred schools.

Offering assurance on the matter, the HRD minister Shri Prakash Javadekar said that a meeting on the issue will be held in week’s time and also assured a positive decision.

Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay thanked the Minister for his firm assurance and concern.

9 Tibetan primary schools and 5 middle schools, including 33 pre-primary sections have been successfully transferred to Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society, CTA, Dharamshala.
