DHARAMSHALA: Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay, the democratically elected political leader of the Tibetan people, will leave Dharamshala tomorrow for official meetings and engagements in Pathankot, London and Goa.
Tomorrow, on 27 October, Sikyong will leave for Pathankot to address the founding anniversary of Partap World School, Pathankot. Following the address, Sikyong will depart for New Delhi.
Upon his arrival at New Delhi on 28 October, Sikyong will meet Indian dignitaries and officials.
The next day, on 29 October, Sikyong will depart for London for a series of meeting with important dignitaries and scholars, the Chair and Vice-Chairs of the All-Party Parliamentary Support Group for Tibet, representatives of other Tibet Support Groups and members of Tibetan community in London.
During his five-day visit, from 30 October – 3 November, Sikyong will also have a few speaking engagements at the University of Westminster and the Oxford Union in the city of Oxford.
On 3 November, Sikyong will leave for Goa, via Mumbai, to attend the 3rd India Ideas Conclave 2016 from 5 to 6 November. He will also address the conclave.
India Ideas Conclave is India’s most eclectic platform for global thought leaders and renowned experts to discuss ideas in various fields of human development. The theme of India Ideas 2016 is Democracy, Development and Dissent.
Sikyong will leave Goa on 6 November and arrive in Delhi on the same day.
On 7 November, Sikyong will be back in Dharamshala.
