DHARAMSHALA: Members of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile will begin their official visits to Tibetan settlements and communities to meet the Tibetan public from July 2016. The visits will take place till early September and will cover 19 different zones in India, Nepal and Bhutan.
During the visits, members of the Tibetan Parliament will interact with the Tibetan public and will explain the policy of the Central Tibetan Administration, the programs of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the critical situation inside Tibet, international support for the Tibetan movement and the issues discussed during the 1st session of the 16th Tibetan parliament.
The parliamentary visits will begin with Mr Pema Jungney and Ms Tsering Lhamo, who will visit Miao Chopheling, Tezu Dhargyeling, Tuting and Itanagar Tibetan settlements in northeast India from 1 July.
Mr Gyarik Thar and Mr Karma Gelek will visit DekyiLarso Tibetan settlement, Chennai, Pondicherry, Rameshwaram, Madurai, Tirupati, Kanyakumari, Trichi and Cochin from 4 July.
