DHARAMSHALA: Mr Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi today took charge as the new Secretary of the Department of Religion and Culture in the presence of Kalon Pema Chhinjor at a brief handover ceremony held this morning. Mr Tashi Phuntsok, Secretary of DIIR attended the ceremony as the official witness.

Guests at the ceremony include representatives from the various monasteries and nunneries located in and around Dharamshala as well as the staff of the department.

Mr Tsegyal Dranyi was appointed as the new Secretary of the Department of Religion and Culture following the transfer of Mr Dhondup Dorje Gyalling, the former secretary of the department to Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussoorie as its new Executive Director.

Mr Tsegyal Dranyi was the secretary of the Department of Health, Central Tibetan Administration before his transfer.
