In an interview with Peter Dobbie of BBC World Service yesterday, Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay, the democratically-elected political leader of the Tibetan people, welcomed US President Barack Obama’s public greeting of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC on 5 February. He said the President’s public greeting gives hope to the Tibetan people.
