DHARAMSHALA: Hollywood superstar and prominent advocate for freedom and human rights in Tibet, Richard Gere, met India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Monday (5 January).

During their half an hour meeting, they discussed Tibet, Buddhism and His Holiness the Dalai Lama among other issues.

Richard Gere came to Delhi after attending teachings by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the Tibetan settlement in Mundgod in the southern Indian state of Karnataka last December.
