DIIR secretary Sonam Norbu Dagpo at Kalimpong Tibetan settlement.

DHARAMSHALA: The Secretary for International Relations of the Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) of the Central Tibetan Administration is in Tibetan settlements in northeastern India to raise awareness on Middle Way Approach.

Secretary Sonam Dagpo gave public talks on the Middle Way Approach to the general public, schoolchildren and monastic community at Salugara, Kalimpong and nearby areas (18-22 August), Sonada and Darjeeling from 23 August. He spoke about the commitments and efforts made by His Holiness the Dalai Lama for world peace, and the Middle Way Approach of the Central Tibetan Administration to resolve the issue of Tibet through dialogue with the Chinese government. The visit is part of the Kashag’s initiative to raise awareness on the Middle Way Approach and to mark 2014 as the year of His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama.
