Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay, the democratically-elected Tibetan leader and political successor to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, addressed one of the world’s most influential foreign-policy think-tank, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), based in Washington, on 8 March.
The Sikyong spoke on the way forward to find a mutually-acceptable solution to the problem of Tibet through dialogue with the Chinese government. The talk was moderated by Mr Jerome A. Cohen, Adjunct Senior Fellow for Asia Studies, CFR.
