DHARAMSHALA: Lhamo Tseten, 24, set himself on fire in front of a military base and a local court at Amchok, Sangchu county in north-eastern Tibet today at around 02:30 pm (local time). He is the 4th Tibetan from Sangchu county to self-immolate in less than 7 days.

Lhamo Tseten is survived by his parents, his young wife and a two-year old daughter.

Since 2009, 59 Tibetans have set themselves on fire in Tibet protesting against China’s failed policies in Tibet and calling for the return of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Tibet.
