TSO briefs district police on Tibetan community

DHARAMSHALA: The Tibetan Settlement Officer in Dharamsala attended a training on traffic and tourist place organised by the office of the Superintendent of Police on 17 July.

30 traffic police personnel were offered training on their roles and responsibilities in managing traffic and tourists in Dharamsala, a famous national as well as international tourist destination.

Settlement Officer Sonam Dorjee briefed the participants about the important places of Tibetan community in Dharamshala, including schools, handicraft centres, monasteries and cultural institutions. He also highlighted the importance of making the Tibetan community more aware about traffic rules and to sensitise the traffic police to be tourist friendly.
