DIIR Kalon Meets MPs, Former PM in Japan

TOKYO: The Kalon for the Department of Information and International Relations met with parliamentarians and the former prime minister of Japan during her ongoing visit to the country.

“Kalon Dicki Chhoyang met with members of parliament from both ruling and opposition parties, former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo, and local think tank,” the Office of Tibet in Japan said in a statement.

She joined the celebrations of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 77th birthday in Tokyo, Japan, on 7 July. The event was attended by over 270 guests and took place at Hotel Okura. This year’s event marks the 20th year of celebration in Japan.
