New Mongolian Ambassador pays courtesy visit to Office of Tibet in Australia

CANBERRA: Mr Ravdan Bold, who took charge as the new Mongolian Ambassador to Australia, paid a courtesy visit to the Office of Tibet based in Canberra today.

As Ambassador Bold expressed his interest to know about the Tibetan community in Australia, Buddhist learning centres and the visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Holiness’s Representative Mr Sonam Dagpo briefed him on these subjects.

Mr Dagpo apprised the ambassador that the office of Tibet has maintained good relations with the Buddhist communities in Australia, adding that the ambassadors of Mongolia in Australia used to personally come to greet His Holiness the Dalai Lama whenever he visits the country. Mr Dagpo also told him that His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave special audiences and public talks at the request of the members of Bhutanese, Sikkimese and Mongolian communities.
