DHARAMSHALA: The Department of Education has announced the Pestalozzi Scholarship for this year’s Class X Tibetan school graduates to study International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma course at Sussex Coast College, Hastings UK.

Interested applicants who have passed this year’s Class X exams with 60 per cent or Grade B/2 and above have to apply for the scholarship before 30 June 2012.

25 candidates will be short-listed based on their Class X results for the final selection tests.

Final selection will be done through tests in English Reading and Listening skills, Science, Mathematics, English written tests and individual interviews.

The tests will be conducted under the supervision of an representative from Pestalozzi International Village Trust at the Chief Representative Office in Bangalore from 20-23 July 2012.

Pestalozzi has been offering scholarships for Tibetan refugee students since 1963 where the first batch of 22 students from southern Tibetan settlements in India received an opportunity to study there.
