Sangpo’s 37 Practices of A Boddhisattva (laklen sodunma) &
Kamalashila’s The Middling States of Meditation (gomrim barpa) at
Tsuglagkhang, the main temple here. The two-day teaching is
being given at the request of a group of Thais, which include
professors, businessmen, members of NGOs and media. His Holiness
the Dalai Lama clarified the misconception about Tibetan Buddhism as
‘Lamaism’.  “These are totally wrong conception and said Vinayana,
being the teaching of the Buddha, is very important. The Tibetan
Buddhism has its origin in the Nalanda University which was held by the
Bikshus or monks. So the main holder of Buddhism from the Nalanda
tradition are the monks,” said His Holiness. His Holiness further said we should know the importance of Theravada Buddhist practice and learn from it. There are about 6,000 devotees who attended the teachings.
