Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama concluded a three-day teachings on Friday with the Avalokiteshvera Initiation (chenresig wang) to thousands of Buddhist devotees at Tsuglag Khang the main temple in Dharamsala.His
Holiness on conferring the Avaloketeswara initiation called on the
devotees to have a compassionate heart for the happiness for all the
sentient beings. His Holiness said if you have an altruistic and
compassionate heart with compassionate actions towards others, you can
bring happiness for others as well as for yourself for now and future.The
teaching was given at the request of Buddhists from South-East Asia.
They are from Singapore, China, Korea, Vietnam, Japan. There were also
devotees from other parts of the world and Tibetans from Dharamsala and
elsewhere. Total registered names for this teaching was 3673
of which 942 were from abroad, according to the Department of Security,
Central Tibetan Administration.
