Tibetans and supporters prepare to celebrate the 75th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama[Saturday, 3 July 2010  2:41 p.m.]

Dharamshala: Tibetans and supporters of Tibet all over the world are preparing for the celebration of the 75th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. In Dharamsala Tibetans and supporters are excited about the event and are preparing for their cultural performances to present on the day. The day’s events are made public by the CTA which includes a long list of functions on the day. On Thursday, 8th July Amar Ujala News paper is organising an Indian and Tibetan cultural program to the public and the dignitaries of CTA to commemorate the friendship of Indians and Tibetans in celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday. Tibetan communities in western countries are celebrating His Holiness’s birthday on this weekend. A non profit Tibetan Production group (LondonNey) is organizing multi-cultural concert Don-Ngae-Toe-Yang(Songs in Praise) where musicians and artistes from Asia and Europe are taking part to pay their tribute to His Holiness the Dalai Lama in celebration of his birthday on 6th July at the Mountbatten Auditorium in central London.LondonNey will donate all the proceeds from this program to the Yushu Earthquake victims in the spirit of compassion. Tibetans in exile are preparing for the special day by wishing His Holiness the Dalai Lama long life and success in his endeavours.
