Kalon Tsering Phuntsok to Visit Drepung Monastery

Dharamshala: Kalon for the
Department of Religion and Culture, Ven Tsering Phuntsok, will visit
Drepung Monastery in southern India to offer prayers to former Ganden
Tripa, His Eminence Lobsang Nyima, who passed away on 14 September.

Earlier on Wednesday, the officials of the Central Tibetan
Administration in Dharamshala observed a prayer session and all the
offices and departments remained closed as a mark of respect.

According to the office of Drepung Loseling Monastic
Institution, the monastic officials has been conducting a series of
prayer services for the late Ganden Trisur, who is presently in a
meditative state.
